Getting from India to Lapland is simpler than most travellers expect. There are no direct flights, but convenient one-stop connections run to Helsinki from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad via hubs like Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Istanbul (roughly 11–13 hours in total). From Helsinki you continue north to Lapland on the overnight Helsinki–Rovaniemi "Santa Claus Express" sleeper train — a comfortable, scenic leg included in our packages — or on a short 1.5-hour domestic flight. We time every India-to-Lapland itinerary so your arrival connects smoothly with your tour start, and we handle the Lapland leg, airport transfers and warm winter clothing on the ground so you can travel worry-free.

How much does a Finland trip from India cost?
Our land packages start from €1,350 per person (roughly ₹1.2–1.3 lakh) for a 7-day Lapland tour including accommodation, the Helsinki–Lapland night train, all listed safaris, breakfasts and a dedicated guide. International flights from India and your Schengen visa are additional — most travellers budget separately for return airfare from Delhi or Mumbai.
Best time for Indians to visit Finland
For the Northern Lights and snow, travel between December and March — ideal for families travelling over the winter holidays. Many Indian travellers plan around Christmas/New Year and February breaks. For milder weather and the midnight sun, our summer Finland & Estonia and Scandinavia packages run June–September.
