Our 12-Day Balkan Grand Tour is the complete picture — four countries, two seas, UNESCO cities, mountain lakes and canyons, at a pace that lets each place breathe. Here's what a fortnight in the Western Balkans actually looks like.

Albania: coast, UNESCO towns and mountains (Days 1–6)

Begin in Tirana, then trace the Adriatic to Durrës and the "City of a Thousand Windows," Berat. Follow the Albanian Riviera with a wine tasting to the Ionian resort of Sarandë, climb to the Stone City of Gjirokastër, and cross the southern mountains via Përmet and Korçë to the lakeside town of Pogradec.

North Macedonia: lakes and canyons (Days 7–8)

Enter North Macedonia along Lake Ohrid to St. Naum Monastery and UNESCO-listed Ohrid. Explore Skopje's Old Bazaar and Stone Bridge, then the dramatic Matka Canyon and Tetovo's colourful Painted Mosque.

Kosovo: Prizren and the White Drin (Day 9)

Cross into Kosovo via the scenic White Drin Waterfall and the capital Pristina, ending in historic Prizren — old town, Ottoman architecture and a hilltop fortress with panoramic views.

Montenegro: the Adriatic finale (Days 10–12)

Reach the coast at Budva, then the UNESCO old town of Kotor and the spectacular Bay of Kotor, the royal capital Cetinje, and the ancient ruins of Stari Bar and Ulcinj before returning to Tirana.
